Food There are many ways to embrace vegan living. Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude all animal products, and as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose. You’ll find that the one thing in common among vegans is an entirely plant-based diet avoiding all animal foods such as meat (including seafood and insects), eggs, dairy, honey and gelatin. How do you connect spreading your message and the benefits of a vegan diet through food? How are you turning adversaries into allies to reshape our food system?

Activism: Environment, Animal Rights/Welfare Mother Earth is abundant and provides us with all that we need, as long as we protect her and live in harmony with her. It is our collective responsibility.

Judging Process
The head judge is Eartha Lowe, Founder and Managing Editor, Cooking Green Goodness Magazine.

All entries will be moderated by Eartha Lowe, who will compile a short list of top entries in each category.

The shortlist will be sent to an independent team of 5 judges (names to be released at a later date). The independent judges will in turn select their top three entries for each of the four categories, who will become finalists. Judging will be blind. No names, titles, captions or other indicators are allowed in or on the entry.

Each entry will be given a score out of 100 by each judge.

The judges’ scores will be totaled to give a final score out of 500, then divided by 5 and presented as a percentage figure out of 100.

Eartha Lowe will then collate the judge’s scores to determine the overall prize winners, who can be selected from any of the three category winners. In the event of a tie, the photographs will be re-judged to produce the winner(s).

1st, 2nd and 3rd place finalists will be notified by e-mail on or before October 10, 2020. Decisions of the judges are final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

Finalists will be contacted using the email address provided at the time of entry. Once notified, finalists must reply within 5 days. If a selected finalist is unreachable, ineligible, disqualified or fails to claim the prize within 5 days of notification being sent by the Promoter, that finalist automatically forfeits the prize; the judges may award the prize to another entry as the winner.

Each prize winner will also receive a PDF certificate honouring their achievement.
